Dating & Waiting with God is a faith-based relationship and life-management book that helps readers slow down, reset, heal, and make wiser emotional and spiritual decisions. Written from Dr. Wendy Douglas's lived experience, professional leadership insight, and faith journey, the book invites readers to stop dating from wounds, fear, loneliness, or fantasy and begin approaching relationships with discernment, self-awareness, emotional maturity, and God-centered wisdom.
Rather than presenting dating as a race toward marriage, the book reframes dating as a process of observation, growth, healing, and truth. Through the signature concept "Dating is data," Dr. Wendy encourages readers to pay attention to patterns, character, consistency, peace, and alignment instead of being led only by chemistry, potential, or emotion.
The book also connects to Dr. Wendy's broader Reset message introduced through Reset: Managing Life's Chaos, Setbacks & Relationships. Together, her work speaks to people navigating relational confusion, heartbreak, divorce, disappointment, setbacks, and personal transitions. The message is not limited to Christian singles; it serves anyone who wants to manage relationships and life's chaos with resilience, faith-based wisdom, practical tools, and spiritual clarity.
Dating & Waiting with God is ideal for readers who want to heal before making major relationship decisions, recognize unhealthy patterns, strengthen boundaries, trust God's timing, and rebuild with wisdom after life does not go as planned.
