About
Kyiv-City is a fascinating essay by the famous Russian writer, playwright and theater figure Mikhail Afanasyevich Bulgakov (1891-1940). Bulgakov was born in Kyiv, but went to live in Moscow. These are his memories of a trip to his hometown, in which he describes its streets and houses, destroyed by war, talks about local attractions, churches and, of course, about the people of Kyivians, their customs and morals.
