Nicklaase and Meena Elliffe are house parents at State Home for Children No. 13, in Norpol Province, but they are so much more than that. The Elliffe household shares the joyful endeavor of making toys for all the other children who live in children's home cottages in their valley. The toys they make are distributed every year on Christmas Eve, at the school all the children attend. When an ambitious new headmaster forbids the gifts to be given to the children, it begins an unforeseen chain of unfortunate events. The final calamity results in an opportunity for the Elliffes, the children living in their cottage, and the headmaster, to learn that all things can indeed work together for good. Narrated by the author, Say Nicklaase, A Great & Wonderful Christmas Story is an adaptation of his own original musical. Woven from strands of our most cherished traditions, this story has charmed and resonated with thousands of children and adults alike. It is a charming Christmas story that will make you want to believe.
