Three passengers. One crash. No turning back. Recently retired Master Chief Jackson Miller has never been one to shy away from disaster. When a series of typhoons devastates a small island in the South Pacific, he answers the inner calling to help (and to elude the noise of his daily life) without hesitation. Meanwhile, country music star Daisy Fox and her best friend, former soccer champion Sarah Downey, are desperate to leave Fiji and return to Los Angeles. The only private flight available on such short notice forces them into unexpected company with Jackson (a small price to pay for their quick departure). But when their plane goes down, leaving them stranded on a deserted volcanic island, the trio discovers that the isolation and escape they all craved can be both a gift and a curse. Survival is only the beginning, and what begins as a fight for life evolves into a search for meaning. Jackson, Daisy, and Sarah are forced to confront the secrets of their pasts, the peril of their present, and the uncertainty of their futures. What Was Meant to Fall is a daring debut novel that blends high-stakes adventure with emotional depth to weave a shocking yet relatable story of courage, connection, and destiny. From beginning to end, it asks: what remains when everything falls apart, and what if what's occurred was meant to be?
