He also had quite a team to pull his chariot and 50 men to run before him as bodyguards and for show. Absalom was a Prince of Jerusalem/Judea and acted like the spoiled-brat that he was. Only to have his own vanity and ego wrap up his very short reign. ABSALOM the Novel is meant to bring his personality and ego alive, and show what it may have been like in the courts of the King(s).
