Becci: Shifter men are the worst. After the latest one flipped out because I wouldn't give up my job as a research scientist to play house, I accidentally shifted. In a restaurant. Into a twelve-foot crocodile.
REDS is my last shot before giving up on men. And they actually find me a reptile shifter, hot and quiet with gila monster vibes. Things are looking up. Right until I got tasered outside of my lab and six goons shove me into a black van.
I'm blindfolded, handcuffed, and on a loaded onto a plane. But then? Boom. Gunfire. Chaos. And I'm being carried through the jungle by my not-so-mild-mannered date.
Cal: I'm done with mercenary life. It's time to settle down and find a girl who doesn't mind a gila-guy with a bit of a dangerous vibe.
I don't expect my match to be kidnapped by a bunch of paramilitary thugs. Seems the mercenary life isn't done with me. Good thing I brought weapons.
Now we're on the run in the jungle, dodging bullets, trading banter, and trying not to die before I can convince her I'm not just the guy who blew up her captors. Because Becci? She's brilliant, brave, and beautiful . . . and I need her to be mine.
