637 children are missing. All taken by one person. He leaves no evidence. He leaves no witnesses. He leaves only a name - Panomie. When police realise that all 637 kidnappings are linked, they know they're in over their heads. They hire the warlock, Eddie Lancaster. Eddie follows the breadcrumbs and they lead him to the Lower Realm - a world parallel to our own. It is home to many different supernatural beings. As he meets fairies, imps, and gnomes he quickly realises that he's gotten involved in something far more sinister than a simple kidnapping. Panomie has something far more disturbing in store for his victims. But Eddie has his own problems too. The curse inside him urges him to do dark things and each time he gives in he is one step closer to letting evil claim his heart. Soon the damage will be irreversible. Eddie has to find a way to break his curse, and stop Panomie without giving in to the dark urges, or else he will become a bigger monster than Panomie himself. If you like Shayne Silvers, Jim Butcher, Kevin Hearne, Steve McHugh, Patricia Briggs, Shannon Mayer, or Ben Aaronovitch, you will LOVE the third installment of the Arcane Inc. series.
