About

Ichose to write this book after moving from Washington to Port Protection, Alaska to start a full-service fishing lodge. I had been asked several times by lodge guests, What made you sell everything and move to Port Protection, Alaska to start a fishing lodge? The other question asked most often was about our recipes. This made me feel so proud. I had thought we would be able to hire a cook but realized we couldnt afford it at the time. I had to do the cooking. I lost sleep. I had to work so hard to find the easiest and best recipes and put a meal plan together, including lunches for our guests to eat on the boats. I kept a journal that I am now sharing.
Patty Mae Gray was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. She grew up fishing, gardening, and investing in real estate.
In 1994, when Patty and her husband were moving to Port Protection, Alaska, she started her first journal. She is currently transforming her journals into novels.
She lives in Arizona with her dog, Lucy and parrot, Mattie.
Her goal is for her readers to enjoy and learn from each of her experiences through her stories.
This is narrated for the author.
