We couldn't talk; we couldn't even look at each other. That would lead to punishment. I was punished a lot because I had to see if she was there.
There were dozens of us and yet at night, it was only her that helped me sleep in that nightmare of a boarding school. They thought I was bad when they sent me there... little did they know the monster they created.
