A prequel to The Legend of the Cacique Princess: Sofía's life is turned upside down when Hurricane María leaves destruction and chaos in her beloved Borikén (Puerto Rico). Due to the worsening conditions on the island, Sofía is forced to flee her homeland and is sent to live with her estranged father in Orlando, Florida. Struggling to overcome emotions of loss, anger, and fear, Sofía will befriend a passenger on the flight that will send her on a journey to save her island from annihilation. Given the mission to return a magical gemstone to Borikén she will encounter a powerful enemy that has other plans for the stone and the island which Sofía calls home.
