In this world, monsters consume a person's lifespan in exchange for granting their every wish. However, Nea's mysterious "apothecary" monster seems uninterested in consuming hers.
Job prospects outside the palace are looking grim, however, thanks to Dino's meddling. Nea would punish him... if she knew how to!
So instead, Nea attempts to push Dino closer to Prince Aedalia - her fiancé. Has Nea wildly misinterpreted Aedalia's admiration of Dino, or is there a seed of truth buried somewhere beneath the surface of Aedalia's baffled expression? As the delicate tensions of this new world come into focus, Nea is able to see her situation more clearly...
What might fate have in store for this Songbearer and her "apothecary" monster?
