Winter closes around the decaying house of the ancient vampire, Theo, as she and Liam wait anxiously to see if Ed will survive the coming nights. Theo's lost too much these past five centuries and will stop at nothing to keep her brood safe, even against the impending threats of the living drawing ever closer to discovering her new brood and the recently escaped Vampire, Ellis. Liam struggles against the Vampire he has become, while Ed begins to unbury the secrets of Theo's past, plummeting them both into a nightmarish world of obsession. As Theo's shadow envelopes Ed and Liam completely, they begin to understand that in this eternal night all they have to cling onto is each other.
