Someone is murdering young women in Portland. Detective Katrice Halston is determined to solve her first case since her promotion to detective. She's focused, smart, and capable. In walks Theo Rhodes, a local (and seriously hot) businessman who had the unfortunate luck of finding the body of the most recent victim. As the case, and their relationship, progresses, Kat and Theo are tested both emotionally and professionally. When the killer strikes close to home, and time is of the essence, will the two come out the other side?
