It is the 1960s. The Vietnam War and the drug scene is spreading across the country. Two high school swimming champions are thrust unprepared into a chaotic world. Each must face life's darker sides. The boys go their separate ways. One deals with the horrors of war while the other struggles with drug addiction. They navigate a world of soldiers and sailors, murders and prostitutes, pedophiles and drug dealers, and the holy along with the satanic. Both journey through those tumultuous times, facing their demons and reconnecting in midlife under trying circumstances.
