Thomas Hayward expects nothing more dangerous at the Renaissance Faire than unruly crowds, blunted weapons, and an overpriced turkey leg. Then his aunt delivers a chilling warning: Thomas must take care-because something terrible is waiting for him at the Faire.
When a terrified young woman is attacked by a masked man, Thomas responds to a scream no one else seems to hear. His sudden act of heroism draws the attention of the police, the press, and a dangerous figure determined to finish what he started.
Thomas has always dismissed the strange abilities running through his family-the visions, voices, and unexplained moments of knowing they call the Weird. But as violence spreads beyond the Faire and those closest to him begin sensing a darker force at work, he can no longer deny that he may possess the same gift.
To protect his family and stop a relentless enemy, Thomas must uncover the truth behind his growing powers-before the next warning becomes a death sentence.
Blending supernatural suspense, mystery, humor, romance, and richly drawn family relationships, At the Faire is a compelling tale of hidden gifts, inherited secrets, and an ordinary man pulled into an extraordinary battle.
