Behind the Dust

Behind the dust, one cannot hide dirt, pain, or sadness, or escape the weight of one's sentiments. As the poet recounts her emotional states, affected by her invisible disability, and shares her innermost fantasies, she takes the reader on a very personal journey. But there are bright moments as well, and despite the hardships, the poet shows how happiness can be found if one is open to stepping out of their zone of comfort.
