In this new political commentary, author Grant Rees discusses the many dangers confronting the American republic, including alternative voting methods and procedures, use of harmful and addictive drugs, mounting national debt, national defense and military preparedness, and the release of classified information among other topics. The comments, opinions, and recommendations presented in Can We? seek to generate meaningful discussions and debates for viable solutions for some of the nation’s problems.
Rees and others like him are tired of the same old political rhetoric with little progress. This frustration is compounded by the fact that the political season is getting longer and more expensive. Rees has been documenting his thoughts for several years, have written letters to editors and numerous elected representatives. He presents a composite of many of these letters, as well as his thoughts on current issues.
By taking a critical look at topics that are so vital to our country’s future success, Rees provides the facts and arguments necessary to enable us to prepare for the future. Can We? offers comments and opinions that will help everyone to understand the issues facing us and the potential outcomes that could shape the future.
