About
A mysterious boy. A dangerous secret. A black flag that will become legend.
In 1602 Portugal, fourteen-year-old Xavier "Quin" arrives at the School of Sagres with no known past, but with extraordinary abilities in navigation, strategy, and combat.
Years later, after being forced to flee Portugal, Quin crosses the Atlantic to Brazil, where he encounters a world shaped by wealth, slavery, violence, and power.
His journey eventually brings him together with Moreira, an old friend who becomes his greatest ally. Together, they build the Black Pirates of Sagres, a brotherhood of sailors and warriors determined to challenge those who profit from human suffering.
But as Quin's legend grows, so do the mysteries surrounding his identity. Who is his father? Why was he sent to Sagres? What connects him to Moreira? And can a man who has spent his life running from the past finally find a place to call home?
Adventure, mystery, piracy, romance, family secrets, and the struggle for freedom collide in the epic story of Captain Quin.
