As Josie begins the summer before college with the dream of working at a coffee shop to save money and learn the business, she quickly realizes what she learns outside, around the dumpster, will become the foundation for her own coffee shop.
Told through a journal of her lessons from a group of misfits society normally turns a blind eye to, Josie learns that common ground is not just a connection, but a philosophy of how to let your inner voice be your guide.
