Most schools have removed cursive writing from their curriculum. How sad that is for students to never having been exposed to that learning objective. Just because teachers don't teach cursive doesn't mean that students can't learn it on their own.
So, to keep cursive alive in the hearts of future generations I have created this reference workbook. This is how I have taught cursive to my students. It made them feel so happy and successful that they hated to miss class.
How do you teach a whole classroom of students at once? I used an overhead projector with pens to model each letter and letter joining. Students used laminated lined sheets called mats, dry erase markers, and clean, old socks to erase. I had them check each other's writing and to circle their "best" work. It was so much fun.
