Deadman's Highway

Hank Mercer is days away from retirement when dispatch reroutes him onto a quiet stretch of desert highway. Then a brand‑new road appears-smooth, perfect, and missing from every map he owns. The farther Hank drives, the stranger the world becomes. A wreck still whispering through its CB. A man who's been walking the road for decades. A woman standing in the dust like she stepped out of another lifetime.Something out there is watching him. Something that remembers the moment he should've died. And on this highway, the past doesn't stay behind you-it waits for you to come back. Adam Isaac is a horror writer driven by a lifelong passion for the uncanny. His stories draw heavily on folklore, forgotten histories, and the strange fragments gathered during his travels. A lover of the outdoors, he finds inspiration in wild landscapes, ancient places, and the quiet, unsettling spaces where nature and myth overlap. This blend of wanderlust, history, and dark imagination shapes every tale he writes.
