Adam Thorne continues to intimidate and infuriate Angelique. He despises her; and she thinks he's an insufferable ass, so no one is more surprised than Angelique when Adam pursues her. In a startling about-face, the prosecutor known for being ruthless and arrogant displays a new and surprising vulnerability in his attempts to win Angelique's affection. She's wary, afraid, given her recent past, to trust his motives or her judgment, but she hasn't accounted for Adam's determination to eliminate every obstacle in his way. Destiny is the sequel to Angel, a companion piece to Counsel and Justice.
