World War III had come and gone. The Great Famine ravaged the world. Humans and Hydras have turned against each other. But can two species co-exist before one obliterates the other? Hansel wants a normal teen life-chilling with friends, passing his exams, and maybe even going on a date or two. If he just keeps his head down, no one will discover his secret. He's a Hydra. But when an attack on the United Isles soil hurls him into a vicious battle between humans and Hydras, Hansel's forced into a fight he's spent his whole life avoiding. As tensions ignite, he must join the United Human and Hydra Alliance to hunt down a shadow network of monsters. And if Hansel fails, there won't be a side left to choose-only ashes.
