Do you desire to have a meaningful, consistent, Christ-centered prayer life for your children, but don't know where to begin?
For This Child I Have Prayed is a brief, Scripture-rich guide for parents who long to make prayer a faithful and lasting part of their children's lives.
With biblical encouragement, practical guidance, and simple ideas you can begin using right away, this book explores both the privilege and the power of bringing your children before God in prayer.
Drawing from Scripture, the wisdom of Christian writers, and her own experience as a mother, Brooke Hamlin explores the heart behind a parent's prayers: why God invites us to pray, how we can pray according to His will, why perseverance matters, and how we can continue trusting Him when Heaven seems silent.
Inside, you'll explore:
• Why we pray when God already knows what our children need
• How to pray with confidence, humility, and according to God's will
• Why our deepest desire should be not simply for "good children," but for children whose hearts belong to Christ
• The importance of persistent prayer, even when change is slow
• How to trust the goodness of God when prayers seem unanswered
• The extraordinary privilege of carrying our children before the throne of God
For This Child I Have Prayed can be read on its own or used as the companion guide to the I've Been Praying for You prayer journals for daughters and sons. While this book explores the why and how of praying for your children, the companion journals provide a beautiful place to record those prayers, watch for God's faithfulness, and create a written spiritual legacy to one day place in your child's hands.
Give your children the greatest gift-a life continuously placed in the hands of our Abba, Father.
