About

The dying heat of summer stirs up tempers and long-held secrets, dredging up a past that should have stayed long buried.... Former Twin Cities socialite Lilly Schmidt struggles to get her grand plan of agritourism up and running in Lone Tree, Minnesota. She seems to constantly hit every bump in the road, including getting mixed up with bitter feuds at the farmer's market and befriending the town's resident pariah. Lilly must also face her own matters of the heart as things start getting weird between her and ex-boyfriend-turned-hired-hand Ryan and catching the eye of the new veterinarian in town. Who also happens to be terribly single. When a known drug dealer and a son of one of Lone Tree's founding families are found dead during the annual summer festival, Lilly finds herself pulled into figuring out the connection between the two deaths before it's too late... Amy Gregg is author of Book Fest award winner Farmed & Dangerous, from Fox Pointe Publishing, LLP, and Minnesota Book Award-nominated Relic Chosen: Magic and Madness from North Star Press. She is also the author of Through the Woods and Next Weekend, from Lulu Publishing. Currently, she publishes with Fox Pointe Publishing, LLP.She began her writing journey at a young age with what would eventually be known as "fan fiction", quickly growing into her own narrative voice, and never once thinking to stop. Save for those four years attending Concordia University, St. Paul to get her B.A. in Psychology. And then those handful of years to start a family. Then going back to school for medical administration. Then she started writing again. And somewhere in there, she sleeps. When not writing she enjoys watching movies, reading, spending time with family and friends, and spirited discussions of all things Marvel. Amy is also a member of the national organization Sisters in Crime as well as the local Twin Cities chapter. She volunteers as the Literary Liaison for the Arts Consortium of Carver County (ACCC), to help local writers share their literary voice. A native Minnesotan who grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis, this "city girl" lives with her daughter and cats west of the Twin Cities. She is currently working on book two in her Accidental Farmer Mystery series, FowlPlay; and a new venture into sports romance with the hockey themed Five for Fighting.
