This book contains a collection of 128 poems/verses, along with one skit, about a variety of rare, threatened, endangered and extinct species of Africa and Europe. Over fifty of the mammals, birds, butterflies, reptiles, amphibians, and sea creatures are illustrated. Through use of humor and pathos, as well as a variety of poetic structures, the author will engage the young and not-so-young, as they discover their role in helping wildlife from these continents. You'll want to laugh with the hyena, cry with the quagga, and say "aye" to the aye-aye. These poems are best enjoyed when read aloud in an enthusiastic manner. If your enthusiasm takes the form of positive action, her primary objective will have been accomplished.
