Nothing in life is easy, but with the right choices, we can make things easier. In psychology, the way we think dictates how we feel, which dictates how we act. If someone wants to change their actions, they must first change how they think. I believe everything in life can be looked at as a game. People play games to win, not just to participate. When a person plays a game, they began to access the creativity in their minds, looking for that avenue of victory. Every game has a route to success, just like everything in life. The only issue is that not everyone knows what it takes to be a winner. An individual’s character is based on the following: learned behaviors and beliefs, experiences, gut feelings, and stereotypes. Therefore, we are all products of our everyday learning. The good thing is that we all are surrounded with people in our lives who have been through the games that many of us are involved in today. Although those individuals may not have made all the right choices, they can provide insight to the difficulties we face. Older people are not perfect, but they are people who’ve experienced the many games that life brings; therefore, their insight should be looked at as a blessing toward our choices.
