This book is not intended to join the thousands of books that give advice on how to invest-in fact, just the opposite. There are already too many "experts" out there advising on where, how, and when to invest your money. While some of these books are fantastic, the reality is that most readily available investment advice in books and elsewhere is nothing more than a sales pitch riddled with conflicts of interest.
"Investor Lifeguard" leaves it to you to decide what is best for you and your family in the investment world. This book is simply designed to be your navigational map or GPS on how to avoid the investments and professionals who have destroyed the financial lives of many investors. The approach outlined in the chapters of this book will help reframe how you approach investing. Specifically, our approach will allow you to invest in a way that meets your needs, rather than the needs of your advisor and the securities industry. Essentially, this book is a practical and easy-to-use resource to help you navigate your investment decisions away from disastrous investments that can ruin your and your family's financial life.
