About

Poems from the heart and imagination of Ruth Y. Nott. "Just Do It!" poems are most often rhyming and range from spiritual to humorous to nature and beyond. A good read when you need a quiet break from the world. 2016 was a hectic, worrisome year, one which flew by with unrelenting speed. Finding time and inspiration for poetry was been challenging. Sometimes I had to "Just Do It", force myself to sit down and write from my thoughts, imagination or a prompt from Writer's Digest.com. I hope you will enjoy the results. Ruth Nott was born a long, long time ago and prefers to be seen in this book as she once was, when life was beautiful, love was new, and youth, in all its innocence, still reigned, untouched by life's complexities. A Floridian by birth, a free spirit at heart, Ruth resides once again in her home state in retirement. She has been writing poetry for many years, and her work has been used in several small press publications, Quilt World magazine, Poetry Canada, and in anthologies of the International Library of Poetry. Ruth most enjoys rhyming poetry, but occasionally writes a fee Haiku and free verse lines. Her work is often spiritual, romantic, or occasionally amusing. Ruth enjoys quilting with her friends, family get-togethers and attending the First Christian Church of Chiefland, Florida. In January 2005 Ruth self-published her first book of Christian poetry and a bit of a memoir in "A Pure and Simple Faith." In 2006 Ruth and her family self-published a family anthology using their combined talents in "Family Matters" followed by "Family Matters II". In the years following, 15 other books of poetry and a few children's stories have joined her first books and all are available on Amazon.com, self-published through Kindle Direct Publishing.
