A key stone animal is a tiny creature with a big impact on our planet. It lives in harmony with nature and helps to replenish the earth. The Meadow Vole is Block Island's key stone animal, as it plays freely in nature and accepts each new day as an adventure. Everyone can enjoy the day's journey as this tiny creature nourishes itself and its home, the island. Exploring scientific and spiritual concepts like decomposition, friendship, and symbiotic relationships, we see how the Meadow Vole can remind us all how to live harmoniously.
