Midterm Madness

In the opening scenes, Max and Lily are seen cramming for exams in the campus library, revealing the comfortable dynamic of their friendship. However, beneath the surface, their interactions are increasingly charged with romantic tension. Max begins to realize that his feelings for Lily have deepened beyond friendship, and the emotional complexity of their situation starts to weigh on him. He grapples with whether or not to reveal his true feelings, fearing it could disrupt their strong bond. As the stress of midterms intensifies, so do Max's emotions. Between late-night study sessions and shared moments over coffee, Max finds it harder to conceal his affection. At the same time, Lily appears equally invested in their friendship, unaware of Max's internal struggle but clearly dependent on his support. The novel builds on the theme of unspoken love, portraying the uncertainty and fear that can accompany the transition from friendship to romance. As Max contemplates taking a leap of faith and confessing his feelings, the story captures the relatable anxiety of risking a valued relationship for the chance at something more.
