The Reed-Miller family's suburban facade concealed a deep-seated rot: years of relentless maternal cruelty that ironically forged an unshakeable, illicit bond between half-siblings Paisley and Damian. For them, their forbidden affair became their singular sanctuary-a fierce, necessary war waged against the calculating woman who sought to control and break them.
Paisley, the perfect blonde former cheerleader, is numb to the world's attention, her entire being focused on the intense, singular gaze of her older half-brother. Damian, powerfully built and fiercely intimidating, reserves his raw, protective tenderness only for Paisley, the essential half of his dark, secret truth. Their clandestine relationship is a pact of survival, a burning anchor against a lifetime of emotional scarring.
But sanctuary shatters when their mother, the architect of their pain, discovers their sin and unleashes her venomous rage. In a moment of protective fury, Damian violently silences her, leaving the woman who pitted them against each other a broken, unconscious heap.
Now, with their tormentor vanquished, Paisley and Damian are faced with a choice: retreat into guilt, or claim their absolute power. They choose the path of eternal darkness, cementing their bond with an unforgivable act of vengeance. They will make their mother pay for everything she stole, transforming her into a subjugated, bound witness to their twisted devotion, a permanent captive in the ruins of their old life.
As their descent becomes relentless and their domination absolute, they find that love and power are inextricably linked. They have traded innocence for control, and regret for a fierce, possessive love stained with blood and unforgivable sin. The outside world is irrelevant. Only the fierce, dark certainty of Us remains.
Mother's Regret is a visceral, raw, and unrelenting tale of forbidden passion, ultimate revenge, and the lengths two broken souls will go to claim their unholy, unbreakable family.
