No Instructions Included is a soul-stirring, emotionally layered drama about what it means to rebuild, reparent, and reclaim love-without a guidebook. At its heart is Lindsey, a devoted single mother and ER nurse, trying to hold it all together for her spirited son Hunter, whose challenges at school and in social settings are growing harder to ignore. When she crosses paths with Luke, a blue-collar father still mourning the loss of his wife while raising a fiercely independent teenage daughter, an unexpected bond forms-not through romance at first, but through mutual exhaustion, honesty, and grace.
As their two worlds begin to intertwine, so do their struggles. Co-parenting battles, past mistakes, and court custody hearings threaten to pull everything apart just as healing begins. But through every laugh, tear, and quiet moment of resilience, a new kind of family starts to form-one not built from perfection, but from the strength to show up anyway.
Set against the backdrop of small-town life-with scenes that echo real working-class America-this film captures the raw truth of modern families: blended, bruised, and still choosing love. It's a story of forgiveness, community, and the fierce, imperfect beauty of trying again.
No Instructions Included is as much a love story as it is a legacy piece-designed to make audiences laugh, cry, reflect, and feel seen. It's the kind of film that stays with you long after the credits roll.
Originally written for the screen, Oscar bound, now in book form; watch what happens as a family is built through love.
