Pop's Place held family stories, porch swings, laughter, faith, and the certainty that I belonged.
It was the one place I could always return to.
Until I couldn't.
Its loss put words to a question I'd been silently asking for years:
Where is home now?
That question followed me back and forth along Route 66 as I tried to find my way.
The road revealed more than I expected.
Old wounds opened. Some relationships were restored. Others were not. Dirt took on new meaning. Bluebirds and rainbows appeared. And the house I thought represented everything I had loved and lost revealed a deeper truth.
Pop's Place: What Remains is a memoir of faith, forgiveness, friendship, and finding home after losing it all.
