The whispers, they find her. They always find her.
SOULS ADRIFT, a historical novel of supernatural suspense.
October 1873. Chicago, after the Great Fire.
Maribeth could tell the sad, shy child was peculiar, but in fact all three of them, herself included, bore the marks of misfortune. And despite different wounds, they were all strangely alike:
The three broken souls board a steamship to flee despair, and the ashes of Chicago's Fire. Maribeth, born to wealth in England, but unable to find purpose in America and now penniless. First Mate Atticus, widower and Civil War veteran, battle-scarred in body and spirit, seeking only oblivion. Little nine-year-old Kristi, orphaned immigrant from Norway, her future unclear.
Kristi feels safe and cared for when Maribeth and Atticus take her under their wings, and as love binds the travelers together, sad memories fade and all good things seem possible. With the good comes darkness, though-chilling visions, ghostly voices, and deaths that defy reason. This voyage to a new life may be their last.
"A sea story, a ghost story, and a love story. Souls Adrift is Titanic Meets The Others."
