Spike & Lucy is an adventure story that takes place in the central Oregon coast with Grandpa Mac's real twin step grandaughters. Cape Perpetua is a few miles south of where they live and one of the best hiking national parks in the country. Mac created the Kung-Fu Hiking Stick for a female neighbor who hiked alone in the Coast Range where there are black bear, cougars and other potentially dangerous animals. He has filed a provisional patent but on the back cover offers do-it-yourself instructions for non-commercial use, believing everyone who purchases a comic might want to make their own KFHS.
This fun and visually bright story for both children and adults presents fascinating insights to both hiking and martial arts. There is also a comic designed, accurate map of the main hiking trails at Cape Perpetua, located on the inside of the back cover.
A portion of the proceeds from this comic story goes into a college trust fund for the real Spike and Lucy.
