About
BEFORE THERE WAS SPOOKIES, THERE WAS TWISTED SOULS.
In 1984, a group of ambitious filmmakers set out to create a terrifying, creature-filled movie unlike anything audiences had seen before. But their vision was torn apart, their footage drastically re-edited, and their original story lost in the chaos. What eventually emerged was SPOOKIES, a bizarre, beloved cult horror classic whose troubled history has become almost as legendary as its monstrous inhabitants. Now, more than four decades later, the nightmare can finally be experienced as its creators intended.
Acclaimed horror journalist and author Michael Gingold resurrects TWISTED SOULS in this all-new novelization, faithfully adapted from the original screenplay by Frank Farel, Thomas Doran, and Brendan Faulkner.
Enter a world of supernatural terror, where an ancient Ouija board unleashes the most nightmarish of creatures, and some unsuspecting visitors find themselves trapped. From grotesque monstrosities rising out of the muck to demonic transformations, there are so many horrors not seen in the finished film, and this novelization tells the true nightmare, with its original suspense, sinister atmosphere, and macabre imagination fully restored.
Spookies: Twisted Souls is more than a novelization. It's the lost horror movie you never got to see.
