"Do you ever feel like if you embrace the good, it'll disappear?"Lizzie and Luke are co-workers at Chords, a music magazine with a strict no-dating policy. Six months ago, a one-night stand left them agreeing to a professional-only relationship going forward. Now they've been paired up to create a summer-long series of articles, podcasts, and videos at eleven of the country's most iconic music venues. As they travel across the US-from Red Rocks to the Ryman, the Gorge, and Greenfield Lake Amphitheater-the music and proximity to each other stirs memories and emotions neither can ignore. Lizzie wrestles with scars left by her father's death, Luke questions his good-guy personality, and they both discover how, sometimes, "we are all echoes of the songs we love." Chockful of soul and just the right amount of sizzle, Summer Setlist, by debut author Holly Hayes, is a love song to summer nights, great music, and the ones we share it all with.
