MI5 creates a new fraud-investigation unit, Section F, after agent Jack Parker is murdered while probing suspicious financial activity in Hong Kong. Benton and Mills are asked to lead the team, which uncovers a vast money-laundering operation involving ex-bankers-turned-criminals, a Chinese property giant called NowForte, the Hong Kong triads and Russian organised crime. As Section F investigates, the danger intensifies while the criminal conspiracy begins to implode as its key players are murdered, exposed or destroyed, revealing that the main culprit has ran off with the money and disappeared, like a Hong Kong Houdini.
