At 2:13 in the morning, Dave Gilbert prints a report with eleven names.
Minutes later, the database shows ten.
Samuel Reddick is gone.
Not flagged.
Not redacted.
Gone so completely that the system now insists he was never there.
Dave has one problem the network cannot erase: the page already in his hand.

A smoke alarm changes access rules. A federal liaison team arrives with current credentials and legitimate-looking authority. Records specialist Nancy Bell knows which parts of the building still remember things the computers don't. Security officer Aaron Pike knows the men hunting the document have badges that actually validate.
