By age 30, Precious Rutlin was grappling with all of the makings of a nervous breakdown, but few knew the inner workings of a life that looked fine on the surface. Hiding behind career success and numbing the pain with food and spending, she held together the broken pieces of a strained mother-daughter relationship and a troubled childhood. It took high blood pressure, pre-diabetes and a nervous breakdown all by the age of 30for Precious to understand how badly her childhood brokenness had broken her.
The Pieces Within is born of Precious desire to help women understand and address the pain of living through childhood trauma. Through this book, she provides women with a starting point to heal inner wounds, repair mother-daughter relationships, and encourages women to seek the Counselor (Jesus Christ) as well as traditional or spiritual counseling. The Pieces Within is a guide for women to begin to put those pieces together and to start walking on a path toward wholeness and healing.
