The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists

With grim humour and pitiless realism Tressell reveals the lives and harts of his mates, their opinions of their betters, their political views, and their attitude toward Socialism. Edited by Jessie Pope, who was handed the manuscript by a friend and the daughter of Tressell after her father's death, this book is a fascinating read for any social historian.
