When Jenny Davis discovers her husband's infidelity, she storms out of their house. Out of John's life. Out of the comfort zone. Jenny takes up temporary residence in a Dallas apartment, with her close friend, Rebekah. Disappointed and stunned by John, she rushes onto the singles scene. Late-night clubs. Dance halls. Taverns. But when Rebekah takes Jenny to an intimidating, sketchy part of town, Jenny meets a man who is fuel to her fire. He is Marco, the accelerant to Jenny's transformation. Marco Harrison is many things: Drug-dealer, killer, loyal, honest and fair. He masterminds a massive drug ring in north Texas, an organization that feeds addictions and produces money. Marco maintains a close circle of associates, but like all criminal relationships, betrayal is always just a blink away. When Marco encounters Jenny, he is aroused by her body, but captivated by her spirit. Is she the woman to soothe the lion in his heart, the energy in his bones? Marco intends to find out, whatever the cost to his profession may be. And when Jenny gets involved with one of the most dangerous men in the state, she becomes a part of his world. She undergoes a renovation. A rebirth. Jenny changes into something that her husband wouldn't recognize. She uncovers a darkness that she can't explain. The Uncut Grass is a novel of love and life, treachery and romance.
