She buried her daughter. Then she had to fight to raise her grandchildren. You know what it feels like to hold everything together while breaking apart inside. You smile at work, show up for the kids, sit in the counseling office, drive to the courthouse, and somehow keep breathing through a grief so heavy it rewrites who you are. You are the mother, the grandmother, the caregiver, the advocate. And no one prepared you for any of it. In These Thorns: From Problems to Promises, Yvette Lambright shares the deeply personal memoir of a life reshaped by a life-altering stroke, the devastating loss of her youngest daughter in a tragic collision, a custody battle for her grandson, raising three grieving grandchildren, and navigating a justice system that tested every ounce of her faith. Written not from theory but from the trenches of active survival, this book reads like a devotional born from real wounds. It is a testament to what happens when sustaining grace meets a woman who refuses to stop becoming. Inside these pages, you will discover: • How to carry grief and grace together without letting either one destroy you • Why not fitting in may be proof that you are growing, not breaking • How to anchor yourself in biblical truth when life shatters every plan you made If you have ever whispered "I cannot do this" and then somehow did it anyway, this book was written for you.
