What if there was money? Lots of it. Stolen cash, loot, you get the idea but lost by the thieves who stole it in the first place, the real thieves, the ones with the firearms.
There it is, right there in front of you. Would it make you wonder?
It sure makes Steve Hornby wonder. A once-was librarian now trying to make ends meet as a security guard, has the misfit on the security crew and has the guy on the spot when it all happens. Nerd, cynic, and despondent coward, has not the man for this Thief capper.
Or is he? After a lifetime of consummate failure, Steve’s perfected the fine art of the sincere untruth, the insincere apology, and the dodgy silence. Then again, committing a crime is one thing getting away with it is much more dangerous.
Thieves a comedy of crime and conscience. And cash.
