Rick Castle has been living the rock star lifestyle for almost twenty years. In that time, he's built an internationally successful band, kicked the recreational drug habit he developed, and married a woman he adored. In one night, that all came crashing down. His band broke up, he nearly died of an overdose on prescription medications, and his wife died. The last thing he needs is the police investigation threatening to send him to jail for drug trafficking and the murder of his wife. Detective Elaina Wells came to Wallowdale, California to escape the reminder of her husband's drug addiction that cost her everything she holds dear. So, when Elaina is sent to investigate Rick's near-fatal overdose, it's no surprise that she thinks he's guilty of his wife's murder. Neither is looking for love-and both have reasons to avoid it. Can Elaina handle the pressure of an investigation that forces her to face her past? Will Rick end up in jail? Can these two damaged souls weather their storms and find love on the other side? This rock star romance contains mature content: Adult language, drugs, sex, and rock 'n roll. Jaime Loughran is a writer, organ donor, and animal rescuer. An older friend gave 14-year-old Jaime her first romance novel and set her on the path that led to writing her own contemporary and historical romances. Born and raised in New Jersey, she calls the gorgeous rolling hills of the south central region of Kentucky home. Of course, living near the Horse Capital of the World wouldn't be complete without horses, and Jaime is owned by (and servant to) a small herd of Arabians. And Thor, the Appaloosa, who thinks he's an Arabian. Shhhh…don't ruin it for him.
Jaime enjoys quilting, painting, and baking. Jaime and her teenage son also enjoy their work as "chicken tenders". (No, not the food kind. :) ) Together they raise Brahma chickens. She is obsessed with comfy pajamas, t-shirts, Supernatural, and reading.
