Alice hates school, and no subject more than history. Tom, on the other hand, volunteers regularly at a museum in their hometown. When Alice gets assigned to work with him as a summer project, they both think it will be a total waste of time. But Tom finds himself drawn to Alice's fiery and bold nature, while Alice won't admit the feelings she's developing for Tom, not even to herself. Neither is prepared for the storm their unlikely attraction will create.
