A sacrifice for love and family brings death and deception to Avalon. Searching for answers and guidance, Chente travels to a remote Mexican border town to hone his skills as a curandero from an old and eccentric spiritual healer. Doña De La Cruz is a feisty curandera who teaches Chente the pride and value of his ancestral gift for healing. She challenges Chente´s courage and in the process helps him battle La Grande to vanquish the generational curse that has haunted his family for decades. Returning just in time to celebrate Avalon´s first Gay Pride Festival, Chente becomes the focal point in the Reverend´s diabolical plot to torch the festivities and bring real harm to the citizens of the small farming community. As the Gay Pride Parade begins, gunshots are fired, chaos ensues and blood is spilled onto the streets of Avalon. When the dust clears, a loaded gun, a mysterious shooter, and a deadly secret changes the course of the lives of Chente, Aaron and the Jimenez family forever. In the final book of the Valiente Series, will the lingering embers of a lost love be resilient enough to ignite eternal echoes of the heart before it´s too late?
