One by one the "Group of Nine" are being picked off. Two were killed last spring when the plot to kill the Mayor was uncovered. Another was just murdered. The killer's note threatened the rest of the Group along with fledging detective, Tom O'Banion. Why Tom? Who is the killer?
Spurred into action by new evidence and the latest death, Muskegon's police chief calls the Task Force back to the case. They need Tom's analytical skills and insights to help find the killer. He needs Maria, his wife, to wake up from her coma so she can help him.
Can they find the killer before another life is lost? Who wants the Group dead? The brutal killings smell of vengeance. Who is angry enough to kill them in cold blood?
