About

I wrote this devotional because for years, I thought I was a "good enough" Christian. I did my devotions every day. I read my bible every day, I prayed every day, I went to church and served in Ministry. All along, though I thought I was already good enough, I was praying and asking the Lord to use me more, and to do more through me. What I actually meant through that prayer was for God to bless my life, bless my marriage, bless my children, bless my finances and
basically bless me.

But God heard my prayers and started answering my prayers, not necessarily the intent of my prayers.

My life started falling apart. My husband fell in love with another woman, I lost a business and my husband blamed me because we owed over $200,000. I got in a serious car accident, which had me living with chronic pain. What I didn't realize was that it took all those trials in my life for God to bring me to a place where He could use me.

I no longer wanted God to bless me, I wanted for God to use me. I wanted God to use me to make a difference for His Kingdom. The harvest is plentiful and the workers are few. I now wanted God to use me no matter what it took. And what it took was losing everything, my marriage, my finances and my health, for God to get through to me.

I would not change anything that has happened to me because I am so much more in love with the Lord. I understand what the bible means when it says "Set your affections on things above, not on things on this earth". (Col.3:2)

I have had my fair share of pain. But I wouldn't change a moment of it. I have had my fair share of loss. But I wouldn't change a moment of it. I have had my fair share of hurt. But I wouldn't change a moment of it. God used every bit of pain,

He used every hurt, He used all the loss to bring me to where I am today. He used it all so that I would be exactly where God wants me to be and I would do it all over again to be where I am today. I have further to go, and so although I don't know what that looks like, I say, "Bring it on God, for my good and your Glory". Because His word says in Romans 8:28. "And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to
His purpose".

So Spend Time with the Lord every day, Hide His word in your Heart, so you might not sin against Him, Memorize His Word and speak it daily so Faith will grow in your hearts.
